About

RebL Digital was founded by me - Rebecca Leah Burgess, and supported by a network of trusted freelancers. Here’s a snapshot of how I came to do what I do…

Hi,

I’m Rebecca

I'm a South East Londoner who loves making the most of what this city has to offer. Whether I’m catching a West End show or hunting down the best veggie restaurants, I’m always on the lookout for new experiences.

My passion for nature led me to study Wildlife Conservation in "the garden of England", where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Kent in Canterbury. I also had the incredible opportunity to conduct my dissertation research in South Africa, and I was lucky enough to return there a couple more times for volunteer work. Later, I went on to gain a certification in ‘Corporate Sustainability, Social Innovation and Ethics’ from Imperial College Business School.

Always one to follow my passions, my professional journey has been pretty varied! I started where I assisted with management at iconic attractions such as the Chelsea Flower Show, Wireless Music Festival, Wimbledon and the BBC Good Food Show to name but a few. Despite the long hours, I had such a fun time meeting and working with so many different people.

Whilst working at trade shows and talking with business owners, I often thought "perhaps I could be here exhibiting my own work". It was then I was inspired to make it happen and start my own venture.

My knack for understanding people and capturing the essence of what clients want to express was a perfect fit for design work - so Rebecca Leah Designs was born! I achieved some pretty cool things from creating the mural for Fearne Cotton's Happy Place event to exhibiting at national shows and completing bespoke commissions for clients both near and far.

As I built my brand, website and managed all the marketing, I found that I enjoyed delving into these aspects more and more. This led me to put my digital skills to further good use working for a social enterprise and it was here that I met many people who would go on to be my first supporters of RebL Digital.

Having been a sole trader myself, I get what it’s like having so many plates spinning and the importance of relationships to help you succeed. At RebL Digital, my mission is to showcase all that great work you do with a strong website and a personalised approach.

I’m dedicated to partnering with purpose-driven individuals and organisations. The latter is fulfilled by teaming up with Lizzie at Jamabuck Studio as the Lead Designer and Developer.

Now it’s your turn! I’d love to find out more about you and your business goals!

Looking forward to connecting,
Rebecca
